What's the Advantage of GE ECM™ Variable Speed Motors?

What's the Advantage of a 2-Stage Burner System?

The first stage (lower BTUs) runs about 70% of the time. As it gets colder out, the furnace runs longer causing the second stage (higher BTUs) to come on. This maintains steady temperatures and more comfort.

What's the Advantage of Sealed Combustion?

There are several advantages because the burner draws only outside air. First, outside air is cleaner, which is easier on the heat exchanger and the ignitor. Second, when a system draws indoor air, it can create areas of low pressure in your home, leading to drafts and uneven heating. With a sealed system, the problem is eliminated.

One additional advantage is that the flame in a sealed combustion system is not exposed, making operation safer.
